Promoting Experiments in Teaching and Learning
TEACHx sparks innovation in teaching and learning by showcasing experiments and celebrating successes in a community-oriented environment. This annual conference brings together instructors, students, learning designers, and technology specialists to make connections, begin collaborations, and learn from their peers.

TEACHx is presented by Northwestern Information Technology and the Office of the Provost.

Pricing
  • TEACHx is free to Northwestern attendees.
  • Tickets for attendees from other institutions are $50 per person (plus a $1.94 processing fee) and cover both days of the conference.

Your ticket is good for all TEACHx events on both Wednesday and Thursday. A Sched account is required to reserve or purchase a ticket. Follow the directions to register a new account or log in to an existing one at the top of the page.

Keynote Speaker
José Antonio Bowen

José Antonio Bowen has led innovation and change for over 40 years at Stanford, Georgetown, and the University of Southampton (UK), as a dean at Miami University and Southern Methodist University, and as president of Goucher College. He has written over 100 scholarly articles and has appeared as a musician with Stan Getz, Bobby McFerrin, and others. He is the author of Teaching Naked (2012), winner of the Ness Award for Best Book on Higher Education, and Teaching Change: How to Develop Independent Thinkers using Relationships, Resilience and Reflection (2021). Stanford honored him as a Distinguished Alumni Scholar in 2010, and he has presented keynotes and workshops at more than 300 campuses and conferences in 46 states and 17 countries around the world. In 2018, he was awarded the Ernest L. Boyer Award for significant contributions to American higher education. He is now a senior fellow for the American Association of Colleges and Universities.
